Named for Henry VII’s carrack in his English Tudor navy, which was launched in 1511 and served for 33 years. Sunk on July 19, 1545, the wreck of the Mary Rose was located in 1971 and was raised on October 11, 1982.
Such a suitable name for a sturdy Old English rose!
Mary Rose, the rose, has pleasant pink blossoms borne on long, sturdy stems. Loose-petals and soft pink color give this rose a romantic, old-world allure.
The delicious fragrance is medium-strong and features a hint of almond and honey. Delightful!
